P365: Day 16

Student in quiet contemplation of his material (more like frustrated absorption, but it doesn’t sound as good)

P365: Day 15

I am attempting to do some experimenting in this project, since anyone can decide to do the easy shots and post them. I have been working with various arrangements of the exposure triangle (aperture, shutter speed, ISO [sensitivity]) to attempt to get the best possible astrophotograph. It is worth visiting the Flickr page for the […]

P365: Day 12

I feel like I’m doing too much on black lately. Too many dark images. This is a fairly simple shot, just a simple pose on a black backdrop. This image would cover the category of personal goals for myself. I want to take this image from the depressing flabby white flesh that it is and […]

P365: Day 11

Two security officers on the UNC Charlotte campus take the state and national flags from their mast and fold them. Today was a quite dim and dreary day, cloudy with a mist of rain in the air.

P365: Day 10

I wasn’t directly in a photographic mood today. The clouds and overall feeling of the day left me in kind of a 17% gray kind of mood. The only thing that inspired me at all today was the sky, and that was a long shot. I’m hoping tomorrow is better.

P365: Day 9

These chrysanthemums are such a wonderful shade of pink, unfortunately, I had great difficulty getting them to come out just right in a photo. I have fought with myself over which image should be day 9 in my Project 365, so I finally decided to remain “artistically” indecisive and combine the two. The purist forms […]

P365: Day 8

Not quite the normal level of interest for a daily photo, but I realized that I have never really taken a photo of my model locomotive before.

P365: Day 7

Working with some new backgrounds, trying some remote lighting and some other fun stuff. I really had nothing originally for day 7, so I decided to try something to salvage the day, otherwise, it was a picture of a box (its in the photostream if you are bored). I took this photo based on something […]
