Quote I Found

I was digging in GITI a bit ago, looking for quotes I had saved from people, I found this one from Guy, it really seems to symbolize a lot of what I feel lately: “my man has to be fast enough to catch me, strong enough to wrestle me to the ground, and loving enough […]

Universal Language of Music

I got hooked on this song before I even knew what any of the words meant. It is instrumentally (including voacally) very uplifting. Im still trying to decipher the lyrics and my opinion about them. ———— Burdah – Mesut Kurtis Chorus Mawlaya salli wa sallim da-Iman abadan ‘Ala habibika khayril khalqi kullihimi (Oh my Master, […]

Curtis = “& Family”?

I hate inconsiderate assholes. Christmas cards about the most obnoxious forms of mail on earth. Too many are addressed to “Steve, Ellen & Family”. Who the fuck is “& Family”? Is it so hard to remember my name? C…U…R..T…I…S! Hell, at this point I would settle for K-U-R-T-I-S :-(. When it really sucks is when […]

Making it to the Top

On Tuesday, November 8, 2005 Chris and I went back to Crowders mountain to go all the way to the top of King’s Pinnacle, the secondary peak at Crowders mountain. We began our hike at around 3:30pm, giving ourselves 2.5 hours to get to the top and back. We went up in daylight, but by […]

The Tower Sings Again

After almost a 9 month absense, the Belk Tower, at the center of UNCC’s academic buildings now chimes again. It chimes on the hour and then sings 3 times a day. The absence of the sounds of the electronic Carillon in the tower caused a major “disconnecting” of the University community. The tower has always […]

Images Back Online

I am working on restoring my image system to my blog. It is at http://www.disturbingthoughts.net/gallery. I will be backing this one up as to not lose it again through some deranged Movable Type plugin.
